Robin chicks leave at sixteen days. At 04:33 the nest is pretty full, by 05:44 there are at least 4 left, 3 at 07:25 and 2 at 08:13, then one until the last reluctant chick leaves the box at 10:20. | ||

No sign of any visit on the Robin nest. Continued or abandoned? Dunnock nest in the ivy on the fence being built, no lining yet and not visible from any feasible camera position without a lot of construction and disturbance - maybe occasional snaps if it is used. | ||
One egg until 08:39. Robin on the nest until 08:52, then two eggs. There is also a part completed Blackbird nest within camera range, not being regularly visited, it remains to be seen whether it will be used. | ||

Jan 2010 | Previous position of open box is now exposed by death of the clematis which has been removed. Move the open box to the postion of the bluetit box (just South of East facing) and move the bluetit box nearer the house. Both are shaded by climbing hydrangea and a bay laurel although a little close to both be in use at the same time. A new hole box with 32mm hole is on the fence at the bottom of the garden shaded by ivy. |
